Mac: application cannot handle UTF-8 input in preferences

Description

Input of "č" in Preferences results in closing Preferences menu, poEdit returns focus to Catalog Manager. Diacritics input handles with '+c sequence on my machine.

Does it happen with 1.3.7_pre1? If it does, can I easily reproduce it in English version of OS X 10.4?
